Since I began pursuing a career in print journalism, the newsrooms I've encountered have been dominated by Caucasians. Tonight brought a sense of comfort I have never experienced. I have felt like an outsider and almost alone, quietly working hard while others underestimated me. Perhaps now I can share some of those difficult experiences and some of my better ones.
